Aynouk Tan (she/ they) is a lecturer, writer, curator and activist. Their practice revolve around topics such as identity, appearance, decolonization, gender and their intersections. They are the founder of Queer is not a Manifesto: an organization that aims to create long- lasting agency, power and influence for and by queer people, mostly of color. They are one of the organizers of Queer Network Amsterdam (QNA): an alliance that consists out of 23 LGBTQIA+ organizations. Tan curates public programs for clients like Cobra Museum and Tropenmuseum. Furthermore Tan is an advisor at the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) and jury member for the Dutch Design Awards.
